Sunny Sunday in Bangkok

Last Sunday, MC and I explored Bangkok with one of our other friends from home, Belen. We got to check off Khao San Road, the Grand Palace and Wat Pho from our to-do lists.

The Grand Palace is one of the top things to see, but has been closed to the public due to King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s death. It is now open to the public, if you go, make sure you wear appropriate clothing (knees to shoulders covered, black & no tight clothing), bring your passport & 500 baht. Be warned, it is hot here. Not much shade and lots of walking, it wasn’t the easiest adventure but it was definitely worth it!

Afterwards, we walked another 15 minutes to get to Wat Pho, where the famous reclining Buddha lays. This was probably my favorite of the day due to the pure size and beauty of the whole experience.

always leave Bangkok exhausted so as usual, I went to find the 538 bus for Thanyaburi tired and ready for my hard bed awaiting me in Four B.
